This page explains what happens to the information you give us when you use this website. It is written in plain language so it is easy to follow.

What we collect

Our enquiry and booking forms ask for your name, your email address, an optional phone number, and whatever you choose to type into the message or details fields. That information is stored in our database so our team can pick it up and reply to you.

Payments are handled entirely by Stripe on Stripe's own secure checkout pages. Card numbers are never sent to this website and we never see or store them. We keep only what Stripe tells us about a payment: whether it succeeded, the amount, and a reference we can use to look it up.

How we use it

We use what you send to answer your enquiry, to talk through what you are planning, to prepare quotes, and to arrange and follow up on any advisory work you book. Our team handles intake, scheduling and follow up.

Sharing your information

We do not sell your information. We may share it with the service providers that help us run the business, for example hosting, email and scheduling tools, so they can carry out that work for us.

The providers we rely on are:

• Vercel, which hosts this website and serves its pages.
• Nile, which hosts the database where enquiries and bookings are stored.
• Stripe, which processes payments.
• AliveMindCRM, where our team manages enquiries and follow up.
• Google, for the website analytics described below.

These providers may process your information outside the state or country you are in. We share only what each one needs to do its job, and none of them are permitted to use your information for their own purposes.

Cookies and analytics

We keep tracking on this site to a minimum. We use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to see which pages people find useful, which forms get started and finished, and where visitors came from. That tells us what to improve. We do not use it to build advertising profiles about you, and we do not sell any of it.

Google Analytics sets cookies to recognise a returning visit. You can block or clear them in your browser at any time, and the site will keep working normally.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become work are kept for two years, so we can pick up a conversation if you come back to us. Records relating to paid work are kept for seven years, because tax and accounting rules require it. If you ask to join our mailing list we keep your address until you unsubscribe. You can ask us to delete anything sooner, and we will unless we are legally required to keep it.

Requests about your information

If you would like to know what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to remove it, email info@bestwineforyou.com and our team will pick it up.

We aim to reply to any request of this kind within thirty days. If we need more time or need to confirm who you are before acting, we will tell you rather than leave you waiting.

Children

This site is intended for adults of legal drinking age. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
