Wine List Audit
We read your list the way your guests read it.

Better wine lists, better guest experiences: a list your guests read to the end, and your team is glad to hand over.
“The best bottle isn't always the most expensive.”Guy LeLarge
For restaurants, hospitality businesses, corporate buyers and professionals who need expert wine guidance
The first 30 minute consultation is free. Consultation time after that is $295 per hour, agreed with you before it is booked.
Wine purchasing, delivery, venue, travel, and other third party costs may be quoted separately depending on the experience.
Start with the free 30 minute consultation; consultation time after that is $295 per hour. The Business Wine Review is $399 and is the entry point for restaurants, covering a wine list and pairing review with up to ten recommended changes, returned as a written plan. Larger or ongoing engagements are scoped and quoted individually.
Yes. Send your current list through Rate My Wine List above and you will get Guy's first read: initial observations and what a fuller review would involve. It is a first read to see whether we are a good fit, not a full professional audit, and it costs nothing.
No. Best Wine For You is an independent advisory service and does not sell alcohol. There are no distributor relationships, no winery commissions and no sponsored placements, so a recommendation to change your list is not a recommendation to buy from anyone in particular.
Structure and language before anything else: clear sections, plain descriptions, and an order a guest can follow without asking for help. Pricing and margin are looked at alongside it, because a list that reads well and prices badly is only half fixed.
Yes. Staff training is one of the eight services above. Your team tastes the list and learns what to say about each wine, so the recommendations on the page survive contact with a busy service.
California and virtual advisory worldwide. A wine list review is done on the document itself, so the list, the menu and the conversation can all happen remotely; on-site work such as staff training depends on location and is scoped in the enquiry.
An initial review, not a full audit.
Send it over and Guy will read it. If a fuller review makes sense he will say so, and if it does not he will say that too.
