What we are actually about

Our work is appreciation, education, pairing, collecting, hospitality and thoughtful choices. A good glass with the right food, at the right moment, with people you like. That is the whole idea. More is not the point, and it never has been.

The best wine is not the most expensive one. It is the one that fits the person, the moment, the food and the budget. Drinking well is about paying attention, not about volume.

Enjoy in moderation

One bottle worth talking about beats three that are not. Take your time, eat while you drink, keep water on the table, and stop when you have had enough.

Never drink and drive

If you are drinking, do not drive. Plan how you are getting home before the first glass is poured, whether that means a ride, a taxi, public transport or a night where one person is not drinking at all.

Legal drinking age

Wine is for adults of legal drinking age. This site, our tastings and our advisory work are all intended for people old enough to drink where they live.

We advise, we do not sell alcohol

Best Wine For You provides advisory services. We help you decide what to buy and why. We do not sell alcohol, and any wine you buy comes from a licensed retailer, merchant or producer of your choosing.
